WOW. We are SO EXCITED to share this new adventure with all of you!
Before we dive into the details of what The Marry Mart is and why we are passionate about it, we would like to formally introduce ourselves.
Amelia Walsh + Stephanie Neiheisel.
I moved to Phoenix five years ago from Salt Lake City Utah (holy s*** insert the bug eyed-blushing emoji face) and Amelia was one of the first, and sweetest I might add, creatives I met upon starting this desert adventure. Little did I know, she and her husband would become great friends of mine. Let me tell you a little about her!
Growing up learning from her mothers work in bridal design and construction, Amelia developed a keen eye for detail and an in depth knowledge of clothing construction. Graduating from ASU with a degree in design and business she also debuted her self entitled collection at Scottsdale Fashion Week and went on to headline that event for 3 years. She has since won the title of Most Influential Designer in 2012 by So Scottsdale Magazine and has been voted in the top 5 designers for 2008 and 2009.
While building her career in all things fashion, Amelia ventured into accessory, handbag, and shoe design and fashion show production. But it wasn’t until the opportunity arose with Diego Milano that Amelia merged all aspects of her fashion background to develop a luxury denim line and create Arizona’s first apparel manufacturing facility. Using Diego Milano’s production as the stepping stone for efficiency and quality control she saw the opportunity to help other designers get their line off the ground without them having to venture outside Arizona. Winning Diego Milano the title of Best Denim in 2015 by the Phoenix New Times and Best of the Valley with Scottsdale Modern Luxury Magazine.
All while holding board positions with Fashion Group International since 2014, Amelia is dedicated to growing the local fashion community and giving Arizona the fashion industry it deserves.
Uhm, ok Amelia. You RULE.
To keep the rest of this as brief as possible, I'll give you the fast version on myself.
I am originally from SLC Utah, I miss home every single day, and I'm going into my 9th year as a makeup artist in the beauty/cosmetic industry. I'm passionate about skincare, health, makeup, art, but most importantly.. people. I specialize in bridal makeup and the wedding industry is a market I have come to LOVE working in. I've been so fortunate with my bridal clients over the last 4 years here in Phoenix. Most of them have become GREAT friends to me.
I've also been insanely fortunate to meet and collaborate with the best-of-the-best out here in Phoenix! Photographers, florists, designers, models, local businesses, jewelers, videographers, stylists, etc... SERIOUSLY. There are SO many talented people here in Phoenix.
Mine and Amelia's goal with this bridal marketplace is to:
- highlight and feature these amazing local creators.
- help build more local relationships to keep the creative wedding market here in Phoenix pumping.
- to help these talented individuals/businesses gain a larger clientele, a strong revenue, and inspiration to collaborate with one another to attract the brides and clients that are best for them.
This market is for anyone getting hitched to attend and meet the vendors, AND for the vendors to spread their brand as well as be a part of something to build the Phoenix community. WOOT!
